【What is the meaning of " your English is here and there“?】

En, i am native Chinese ,and have a talk with an Australian yesterday,and he said: your English is here and there,balabalabala

 

i am not sure what is the meaning of him.(may be i am too Chinese-English?)

so,does he mean my oral is...poor?orz

or just soso ?average?

it means your english is poor but isn't a reason to stop. enjoy with your mistake it will help you to progress

enen,i think so ,too,.That's really kind of you to help me.U know though i can communiacate with people in English,but sitll not very understand their slang .I still basic level.

Mb that you know things but you don't know them perfect,you make mistakes.When he speaks with you he can see you learned english,you know sth.For example mb he means he can understand what you r saying but you make grammar mistakes(just an example).It could be for your accent too.This is how I understand it.
