Dublin City itself is a good place to see if you take a tour bus which you can hop on and off And the same applies for Belfast.  restaurant wise if you want to explore the diversity of cultures living in Dublin try Saba Dublin or if you want a high class luncheon try marco pierre white or for a famous name try Harry's bar.

as for Paris, just explore! Buy a Louis Vuitton City guide for the best attractions in the store on the champs-élysées go up la tour Eiffel, visit the original Chanel store, la louvre, la musée d'orsay, Notre dam, etc la café de flore and take a river tour of la seine.

pour les restaurants: try frenchies or Robert et Louise,  Also buy coffee and macaroons in laduree on the champs-elysees. walk everywhere, you will see more. have breakfast in angelina's, take a stroll through les Tuileries.

Europe is not only France and Britain and Ireland are in Europe too. Be careful! There are more countries! One respect.

If you're staying in London, you have to take a day out to visit Cambridge. It's only 45 minutes or so by train from the centre of London, and it's another world - a lovely historical university city on a river, full of beautiful ancient college buildings. A must-see for everyone's first trip to Britain. It's also small enough to see in a few hours, so you can be back in the capital in time for supper.

As an Englishman this pains me to say this but..... you've got to check out Edinburgh it's an amazing city and very cosmopolitan.

Don't forget that air travel in europe is very cheap, especially if you use budget airlines. Check out skyscanner.net.

You'll find that to go from one end of the country to the other will cost you more in train fares than it would cost to fly from Birmingham to the Czech Republic. Don't get bogged down in the UK and Ireland. Especially if it's terrible weather here. Head over to Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland the list is endless.

It depends what you're after and when you're coming. Foody or culture vulture?

Brighton, Manchester, York, London, Nottingham, Dublin, Glasgow, Belfast

But in the same breath you could go to Barcelona, Bilbao, Madrid, Sevilla.

Ireland is beautiful place and there is a lot to see. The number one thing I would recommend is to get out of Dublin and visit the countryside. Dublin is a wonderful city in its own right, but the most beautiful part of our country is it's rural landscape. Places like the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren in Co. Clare; the Ring of Kerry in Munster; and the Glens of Antrim are stunning especially on the odd day we get a bit of sunshine!
