    As to specific Values, all you need to do is look up  the Christian  identification of the Seven Virtues and their  counterparts,  the Seven Vices.

Thank you very much! The matter is, I'm working at a kind of research, which deals with British culture. "Fransis Bacon's (a philosopher!) essays as a linguocultural fenomena". So, I'm trying to describe the influence of the British worldview on Bacon and, on the contrary, Bacon's influence on the British worldview. But it is very difficult to make judgments about the countrie's culture, staying outside it. Though I read a lot on this subject, I would ask you to tell me what values are the most important for the British OR just for you (nowadays).
The second part of the question is of no importance anymore, because I hoped that someone would name Bacon (a philosopher, NOT an artist), but now I've disclosed the matter of things myself.

A possible starting point might be British Polar explorers of the early twentieth century. Have a look at some biographies of these people and think about the personal qualities and values they embody. And then try to apply these to the nation as a whole, both then and now. NB another girl from the Russian Federation asked a very similar question last week. Do you all have a similar homework assignment?
