- first of all, to learn PINYIN correctly, and ensure you can speak out exactly while you see them. that's fundamental prerequisite.
- to record your pronunciation and compare with native speaker's. You will find out your improvment day by day.
- to collect Chinese listening materials which fit your level for daily practice and understanding.
- to watch Chinese TV or shows as possible as you can. That can let your ears be familar with Chinese pronunciation, and let your mind be familar with Chinese context as well.

@Elias, since Chinese pronunciation has 4 tones, different tones correspond to totally different characters, e.g. ma1 妈 mother, ma2 麻 hemp, ma3 马 horse, ma4 骂 scold. You should train your brain to get corresponding Chinese characters and your mouth to speak out immediately and correctly like native speaker while you see that PINYIN.
