How do you define a good topic on italki?

The learners on italki begin topics here on italki. Some of them are quite popular and some don't get any replies. There are pretty heated discussions in some of them. It means that  thetopic is popular and the leaners had thought about it while posted it. Why users don't like such posts? For instans, http://www.italki.com/discussion/77404 get 33 comment, but it had only 1 like.

I appreciate your opinion, Tomek. Above all I must admit that you hit it on the nose. The title of topic was discussed due to it sence.

Do you think that it's a gift to ask right questions and find touching themes?

Thank you very much for your opinion, Stepen Now I will try to keep pace with you, however, it will be quite complicated, because my English isn't as advanced as your.

I do concur with admins of this site that they forbid some topics hereon educational site.

We are here not to turn this nice site intothe battlefield, we are here for studying. It's not easy to discuss such themes correctly with observance of all rules of decency.  Music, sport and literature are good topics for learning.

However I agree with you that taboo topics are mosr discutable.

Most topics are good in here, except for the repeated one. How about popularity? Perhaps thats depend of how many people you directly touch with your topic. The guy from the link somehow touched almost everyone. Most of people are or boy or girl.. and some exceptions. On the other hand for example discussion about "what you think of brazilian people?" might have only few comments as what can I say, if I don't know anybody from Brazil.

I do like to make comments on discussion threads about religion, but this topic of conversation is in violation of italki Community Guidelines; and consequently, these discussions get removed from this website.

Discussions that are sexually explicit or discussions that are about religion, politics and hate get removed from italki for one of the following violations of the italki Community Guidelines, which is in accordance with the report concern box that appears if an italki user were to click on the flag icon that appears in the lower right corner of each comment box.

Violations include: spam (advertisements), harassment, hate speech, sexual content, political or religious discussions, intellectual property violations, threats, impersonation or misrepresentation, phishing, privacy violations, fraud, and more.

There are many interesting topics, and almost anybody here would not object to these topics being discussed on this website:  language, music, food, movies, computers, books, travel, pets, school, health, romance (not too sexually explicit), art, hobbies, games and sports.  :)
