I am a native spanish speaker (a spanish very mexican), I am looking for language exchange (I wanna practice english and teach my spanish) at least twice per week, I am living in France then would be nice skyping for around one hour in the afternoon, and why not form a small network?
It has nothing to do with being a serious learner or not. It has to do with having topics to discuss and staying interested. Take a more relaxed approach (that doesn't mean unfocused or lazy) and you'll have more success. Also, don't wait for people to come to you. Start up conversations yourself. If you really hit it off with someone in particular, you can maybe talk to them once a week, but even that's a lot.
lol seriously? people do not use to do that on here?
I did twice last year when I had time for skyping on the couchsurfing platform and it worked pretty well, I just wanted to try on here =S
Unrealistic expectations, yeah could be, depends on people actually, some people at the beginning get so excited trying to learn a language and sometimes they just give up or they are not that compromised with this propose, and I would like to find someone “serious” in exchanging.
Well…
You've set unrealistic expectations.
We can try it here first if you want. But I'm trying to learn French!
No-one?
