IELTS writing: Comparison of Visitor Satisfaction to a Museum
The table compares visitor numbers to Ashdown Museum in two different periods and the two pie charts illustrate the degree of satisfaction of those visitors respectively.
Overall, the number of people visiting this museum after it was refurbished was rising and so was their sense of satisfaction towards the museum.
Before the year of museum refurbishment, 74000 people made their visits. The surveys shows 50% of them felt dissatisfied, with 10% of them expressing their extreme discontent over their visits. However, the figure dropped to only one-fifth after the rebuilt, which then attracted 92000 people during the year, and the percentage of those who voiced their utmost unhappiness also halved.
On the other hand, the proportion of visitors showing general approval of the museum’s work jumped from 45% to 75%, and the group giving the highest rating saw a 20% increase to 35% after the refurbishment. The percentage of visitors who gave no response to the survey remained the same during the two periods, at 5%.
