The good things that happened to me today were that I did not suffer from a lack of food, water, shelter, and good health, nor a lack of caring and supportive people around me as I experienced yet another beautiful day. I know this might not sound wonderful, or appear to be something extraordinary to many others, however, there are many people—too many people—who do not have access to one, if not all, of these everyday necessities that I freely enjoy. Therefore, I ended up writing this text in observance, as a reminder, and with deep gratitude because these truly are the simple, but good things that happened to me today.

Good things that happened to me today were that I got to spend another beautiful day without lacking food, shelter and amazing people around me. I know this might not sound awesome or something great to a lot of people However, I ended up writing this a blessing and good things. There are many people who don't enjoy even the basic necessities that I have. Therefore, these are the good things that happened to me today.
