To take an exam" is the standard expression. You never "do" or "make" a specific exam. "I have an exam tomorrow" is just a way of saying it's on your schedule.

Take is better, to do sounds a little unnatural.

American: to take an exam Canadian: to write an exam British: to sit for an exam Of course, with global media, there is a mixture. Some Canadians say "take an exam" and some Canadians say "sit for an exam."

'Take' is the correct verb to use, not 'do'.
