The title of the story that I am about to tell you is Happiness and Unhappiness.
Once upon a time, a poor farmer went to a Rabbi’s house. He asked, “Rabbi, I am so poor and unhappy! Can you make me happier?” The wise Rabbi said patiently, “Sure! Do you have a goat?” “Yes, I have one.” “Then put it in your house,” said the Rabbi.
The next day, the farmer moaned, “The goat in my home keeps bumping into the walls and decorations. My wife is going crazy! Please help me!” The Rabbi told him to put all his chickens into his house. Although the farmer thought Rabbi’s idea is strange, he still did it.
The next day, the farmer looked really depressed and tired . He said, “The are so annoying! They crowed the whole day and I couldn’t sleep!” “Oh, is that so?” Said the Rabbi. He continued, “Then release all the chickens and the goat.”
The next day, the farmer looked overjoyed! He said happily, “After I released the animals, the house is quiet and we were all very happy!”
