To show a lack of interest or concern about someone or something.
Example: He was indifferent to the suffering of the refugees.

To be indifferent to something means to not show an interest in, or be unconcerned with, something.
For example: He was indifferent to the street animals freezing in winter. (i.e. he didn't really seem to care)
