INTRODUCTION
Some people may find including customs and traditions into modern progressive life possible, but others argue traditions reduce a pace of development. I strongly believe that because of the conservation traditional values motivate people, and gives the possibility to integrate these into modern life, tradition and innovation can be combined.
I made a comment in your previous post on this essay, and looked at the comment from GuideDogSaint below. I think another way of looking at this topic is looking at how many innovators are now looking back at traditional ways of doing things to solve problems. For example, in the 20th century, farming changed completely. This caused major problems (overuse of chemicals, problems with depleted soil, etc). So younger farmers looked back at traditional ways of planting and growing upon which to base their way of farming. Another area is medicine -- traditional ways of treating medicine can lead to innovations ('new' discoveries of how to use plants). Alternatively, you can argue that traditional ways of doing things is more humane (for example, burial traditions or traditions dealing with death or aging, etc)
