Hi, it is easy to be confusred as both words are pronounced in the same way. The difference is that 'wonder' is the process of trying to find an opinion or decision of something . Example: I wonder whether this is your homework? 'wander' is a form of distraction/ walking about/ to stray away from the topic. Example: Don't wander off from the topic if you are writing about the environment by writing about poetry. Or, "Stay here! Don't wander off into the shopping mall". wondering =thinking to yourself. Example: I was wondering if you'd like a cup of coffee. wandering = walking about . Example: The lost child was wandering about the supermarket trying to find her mother.
