What is different between Shipping and Shipment?

Shipping= the process of goods being transported. Shipment= the goods/consignment which were ordered . Once the company receives the goods , they are called "delivery".. So if somebody says "your order has been shipped" it means your order is on the way to the delivery service (not sent to you directly) When the delivery service receives the goods and is ready to deliver them to you then it is called delivery (sent to you directly).

Shipping is the act of transferring the cargo from port to port, whereas shipment is the cargo being transferred. You may have also heard of shipping line, which is the business which does shipments. A famous shipping line is Maersk.
