The phrase was first coined in 1971 in a song. I think it refers to being in a drug induced state, where you have weird and strange illusions. But read the article.

It's a movie. The film's title refers to a scene in the film in which the lead character is caught masturbating with a pie after previously being told that third base feels like "warm apple pie".

American Pie is a 1999 teen comedy film written by Adam Herz. American Pie was the directorial film debut of brothers Paul and Chris Weitz.
American Pie Presents: Band Camp is a 2005 direct-to-DVD, spin-off to the original American Pie trilogy. It is the first American Pie spin-off.
