Hey girls, he's a man... I mean the russian soups are good, but you should better recommend Russian food like Pilmeni, Manti, Plof and Suchaja Riba... But before you start eating suchaja Riba ( dried salty fish ) you should buy a six-pack beer ( take a German brand^^ ) ...because it's very delcious with the heavily salted fish ;-)

I can also add buckwheat roasted with muchrooms, and russian-style roasted potatoe with mushrooms. And why nobody menshioned jelled meat (cold meat in stark boullion served with spicy horseradish)? Also cold jelled fish is popular. And traditional Soviet food for new year holidays - Olivie salad (small pieces of meat, boiled potatoes, green peas, marinaded cucumbers, boiled eggs served with mayonase).

Actually "Manti and Plof " are not Russian dishes. As for "Suchaja Riba"... It might be most usefully termed "Sushonaja Riba" (suh-SHOH-na-ya).

Скорее всего, "высушенная рыба" (вяленая рыба) (a dried fish )
