What do you know about Ukraine?
We, Ukrainian have a young country, with rich culture and history. Do foreign people know anything about it? what do you think about Ukraine?
I think the Ukraine is both an old and a new country. By this I mean it has a long heritage and culture which is very much its own yet since independance (or sort of independance from Russia) you are trying to make up the rules to find your own way in the world. I also know there was quite a diaspora to Canada (and maybe elsewhere) after the Great Fatherland War (WW2) so I suspect there are many Ukrainian communities now around the world. Sorry to mention Russia . . . . .

I have never been to the Ukraine, but many Ukrainians settled in Australia. I love their colourful costumes and folk dances at multicultural festivals. I had a colleague from Odessa and she was always telling me about the Vorontsov Palace.
