It is another way of saying 'jumping to conclusions', in other words, that the logic that is supporting an opinion is not complete, it lacks some pieces. In italiano diremmo ad esempio: a1) un salto di logica a2) una logica incompleta b1) un ragionamento imperfetto b2) un ragionamento non stringente All'opposto, se vuoi sottolineare che la logica e` valida, puoi dire: -- una logica ferrea (iron-cast logic) -- un ragionamento stringente
