「ちょうど今、__さんで始めて聞きました」 is this right? I'm trying to say "I've just heard him for the first time" Like, "I've just heard him sing for the first time" or "I've just heard about him now!" 「ちょうど今、__さんで始めて知りました」 「ちょうど今、__さんで始めて聞きました」 Actually, how may I say "thank you for introducing me to him!" (referring to a music artist). Or, "I was just introduced to him the other day!"

"I've just heard him sing for the first time" -> 初めて聞いた (first time you hear him singing) or "I've just heard about him now!" -> 初めて知った ( I didn't know him before, I've never heard about him before) Don't use this kind of hajimete "始めて” it means -to start something. use the other hajimete "初めて" that means "the first time"

"I've just heard him for the first time" This sentence doesn't sound right in English. What are you trying to say? just = just now? It's not really clear. Just now = さきほど
