爸爸的父母，但一般情况下不用会祖父母和外祖父母。一般说爷爷、奶奶、外公（南方）、外婆（南方）、姥姥（北方）、姥爷（北方）

祖父母是指你爸爸的父母，通常叫爸爸的爸爸为：爷爷，爸爸的妈妈为：奶奶。 外祖父母是指你妈妈的父母，通常叫妈妈的爸爸为：外公，口语中也称姥爷； 妈妈的妈妈叫：外婆，口语中也称姥姥。 （your father's father:爷爷，your father's mother:奶奶；your mother's father:外公or姥爷，your mother's mother:外婆or姥姥）

There are different. Even in spoken language, we have to notice the difference.

口语中常用爷爷奶奶（your dad's parents），姥姥姥爷(your mom's parents)。有的地方说外公外婆(your mom's parents)。My cousin used to call my grandma in Chinese 外外(It's the dialect usage for mom's mom.),call my grandpa 外爷(It's the dialect usage for mom's dad).
