How long would it be for you to learn a new language? At least enough for daily communication.

It definitely depends on how much effort you are willing to put into it. The English students I have who really progress are the ones willing to use it as much as possible. :) Here is some food for thought... maybe some inspiration... http://www.fluentin3months.com/

Dear Sherry, it's hard to tell how long we can speak a new language well. It depends on environment and on you. If you learn and practice hard, you will soon success. I believe so. Let's try ^_^

How long would it take to learn a new language? If you enroll or study with the help of a structured program, so you could learn the basic functions of the language, then listen, read, and practice your new language with a native speaker, you could probably do well in a couple years.

I started learning spanish a year and a half ago, and now i can sort of communicate. But it really depends on you, the language itself and how much work you put into it.
