About 50 years ago some movie stars had a beauty spot near their mouth. It was a dark mole, but did not stick out. Some women would even use an eyebrow pencil to make a dark spot on their face. I think there is a model even now who has a beauty spot on her face. Most women, however, have moles removed from their face because they are not attractive. Only a beautiful woman would want a mole to, perhaps, draw attention to her beautiful mouth or eyes.

No, not really. If you're good looking and have a mole cool. If you're not good looking period. then a mole will no help you.

It is a matter of personal taste. A mole or beauty spot will not make you an instant beauty.

"Beauty spot" or "beauty mark" is a euphemism for a mole. Marilyn Monroe popularized the mole on the face on the left cheek, near the nose and lip. Some people get a piercing there and refer to it as a "Monroe".

To be more specific, a "beauty spot" was usually a mole on the face. A mole on the arms or legs did not have a slang term that I am aware of.
It used to be very popular for a woman to have a mole on her cheek, or somewhere on the face. Now, it is neither popular nor unpopular; there is no common opinion about moles on the face.
