How to say 'new' in Korean?

(Sorry for the double post, mean to post this as an answer)
The word for 'new' in Korean is 새롭다. But people usually don't say things like "These shoes are new." (이신발이 새로워[요]/새롭다)
Instead, they would probably say "These are new shoes" (새 신발이야/새 신발이에요)
새로운 is the adjective of 새롭다
새 = shortened way of saying 새로운
Usually 새롭다 is used as an adjective instead of a verb in Korean.
I would try to give more examples, but I don't want to tell you the wrong thing, so I'll just stop at what I know XD.
