What's the difference with "centre" and "center"? They have the same pronunciation and the similar meaning. I don't know how to use them. Who can explain them to me? Thank you very much.

Centre is the British English spelling. Center is American.

Hi Jane Here is how I use the two words "Center" would be a synonym for "middle". (He stood in the center of the circle.) "Centre" would be the word used to describe a gathering place. (The crowd gathered at the new Arts and Innovation Centre.) Brenda
