Short answer:
to hide the truth is a form of lie, and this person is
hiding the truth when talking about himself.
So he is a liar!
/to hide/ implies also: to make it too difficult to discover.
There are sentences that have a good syntax and have a meaning only at the surface;
so studying the meaning of those sentences is just a waste of time.
This is a scientific result that should not be forgotten:
the set of logical sentences (that carry a meaning, and have a true/false value) is just a part of the set of syntactical correct sentences.
Moreover:
there are special sentences that people say and their meaning is not in the words but in the fact that those sentences are said.
In this case the true meaning is something like: please pay attention to me, I want to be in the center of the circle.
This man would be delighted to know a bunch of people from Italki were
studying his words, but that delight shows me more than a moral weakness!
Of course this does not confuse me! Please tell us more of this kind of difficult sentences.
All in all I will steer away from anybody describing himself in a way that requires
such difficult thoughts; his ego seems to me to be hypertrophic, and I would not care a damn about his honesty.
Only exception: when all of this is just a joke!
