조언: This is a sort of profesional advice from people who have ability or experience to give proper answer or advice; such as teachers or mentors.
충고: This is rather light advice which your friends or co-workers can give you.
The formal for of your sentence is - 당신의 조언(충고)에 감사합니다.(with Subject) 조언(충고)해 주셔서 감사합니다. (Without Subject)

"조언" is better for "advice" because "충고" has a sense of "You'd better do sth otherwise you would be in trouble" and a bit emotional and more personal.
Also your sentence can be..
"조언 감사드립니다",
"조언 감사합니다" or
"조언해 주셔서 감사합니다" ^^'
