is there any difference between "off" and "away" in these sentences? I moved away / off from my car. I went away / off to school. Step away / off from me! If they are the same, I honestly like "away" more.

Yes, there is. The first and the last are the only two where you would use away instead of off. Saying or writing 'off from' is not improper grammar, but it does sound strange... I actually had to think about it for a while. You would take something 'off of' (for example: I took the sticker off of my car/ take the bug off of me!). I hope this helps!
