I have some troubles in my English homework, who can help me or give me some advice? My homework: Chose a person in your group who you think is the most interesting and help write his or her autobiography. You must write using the three tenses,PAST,PRESENT AND FUTURE tenses. In your autobiography you must speak in the 'first person,' that is,always refer to yourself. Example, when I was a baby my mother... Each autobiography must have at least 3 paragraphs, each paragraph must comprise of a minimum of 15 sentences. Three students from each group will read, first student will read the past, second the present and third the future. My spoken English said if we can't made him laugh, we would got bad grade even zero. He is a foreigner,I don't know what can make him laugh(maybe something Chinese think it's very funny, but foreigners don't think so.) So who can give me some advice? Thank you!

Oh, it's unbelievable that your teacher told you such thing! I find it completely unfair. When one is learning a language, the scope is not making teachers laugh but being able to communicate, to express one's ideas and understand the others'. My advice would be that you do your homework as correctly as you honestly can and forget about trying to be funny. I think your teacher must be joking or he is simply a fool.

Try to do your assignment with a lot of dedication. This should be enough. If however, it turns out that your teacher really wanted you to make him laugh, then the only chance you have of succeeding is making funny faces :) All the best !

Perhaps you misunderstood? Maybe the teacher meant that if there are 3 students in the group, each person had to write a paragraph in a different tense? I suggest that you check with your teacher.

Wow your teacher is making you write at least 45 sentences and he wants you to make him laugh!!! I'd have to ask him if he already had his laugh by making me write 45 sentences in a different language...... Just joking though, I don't believe he would think that comment was funny... heehee :) Good luck
