twice/ to times/ twofold/ double. What are the differences between them? As I googled them more and more on the internet, I became more confused about the usage of these words. When and how I can use them in different sentences? It seems to me twice, two times and twofold are the same. How about double as a verb, adjective and adverb? It seems I cannot deal with these words. Please help me. Thank you in advance.

twice and two times refer to number - he did it twice , he did it two times twofold and double refer to quantity or volume - he had a twofold increase in yield from his crop. This variety of corn has double the yield of that variety.
