The plural marker '들" can be added to "a verb" or "an adverb" to imply plural subjects get involved. Techincally it can be attached to almost any word in a sentence.
For example,
1) 어서 오세요
(when someone visits your house, could be one or more than one person, very often the plural marker is left out when it is clear in the context)
= 어서[들] 오세요.
(after adverb,어서, "어서들" implies there are more than one person)
= 어서 오세요[들].
(after verb, 오세요)
2) 사람들은 흔히 그렇게 말해요(People often say like that)
= 흔히[들] 그렇게 말해요. (focused on "흔히", not 그렇게 or 말해요)
= 흔히 그렇게[들] 말해요. (focused on "그렇게", not 흔히 or 말해요)
= 흔히 그렇게 말해요[들]. (focused on "말해요")
