The verb 'to recommend' in Japanese reads すすめる and おすすめ is a noun formed of that verb, meaning 'recommendation'.
おもしろい本が読みたいのですが、何かおすすめはありませんか。-I want to read a good book, do you have any recommendations?
外国語を勉強したいなら、italkiがおすすめです。-If you want to learn foreign languages, italki is my recommendation.
