What does "낯을 가린다" mean? Is it sth like "quiet"? Someone please explain it to me. Thank you.

낯, face 가리다. to hide, cover, or distinguish.
낯을 가리다. 낯가리다
in literal, it means to hide/cover one's face, (why? because of shyness, afraid, or shame)
So, It means
to be afraid/shy of stranger
to hide one's face for shame/shyness
