what is the difference between: "for example" and "for instance"? I found these words are synonyms but I want to be sure, and If really there is a difference I would like to know when I should use "for example" instead of "for instance". Please give me examples :)

They are the same. I personally would probably only use "for instance" if I had used "for example" too many times. Also, one can use "such as".
