쏙 빼놓다 literal meaning? Hello! Could someone please tell me what '쏙 빼놓다' means literally? I looked it up in the dictionary and I understand that it can mean 'bewitch' or 'mesmerize' when we say '넋을/혼을 쏙 빼놓다'. But how about '눈물을 쏙 빼놓다'? How do we translate this? I am rather confused. I will be very grateful if someone could kindly help. Thanks very much! ^^

동사 '빼다'는 '꺼내다(to put something out)' 또는 '제거하다(to remove)', '제외하다(to exclude/leave out)'의 뜻을 가지고 있습니다. 즉, 동사 '빼놓다'는 "다른 무언가에서 무엇을 꺼내어 놓다/제외시키다(to put/remove/exclude something out from something else)의 뜻을 가지고 있습니다. 나만 쏙 빼놓고, 모두 초대를 받았다. to understand that, you have to understand first the effect of the word 쏙 first. In korean, there are a lot of words that have to do with sound and motion. 쏙 is a word associated with sudden motion. I don't know if a swish is close to that or not. 쑥 also has another association to do with anything coming out from deep inside to exterior or vice versa. It also has a certain meaning to do with something protruding on the surface. All these meanings are subtle because they use to describe a motion, an action or an appearance but it has no distinct meaning on its own. In fact, you will see that 쑥 is used with specific action. 빼놓다 can mean remove, take out/pick out . If you pair the two together you could possibly imagine what the resulting image is like. The first sentence 혼 쏙 빼놓다 probably refers to the soul is yanked out from deep within. While the second 눈물 쏙 빼놓다 probably refers to tears oozing out (from within -> to outside)
