Affectionate term for a cat in Spanish? In English we have 'cat', but we also have 'kitty' or 'catty' or one more that I won't mention because the meaning has changed a bit. Anyway, when I speak Spanish I just call my cat 'gata' because, you know, she's a cat but I want something a bit cuter, like the Spanish equivalent of 'kitty'.
