inevitable & unavoidable I'm reading "The world is flat" in English. When the author expresses that the world is becoming flat, he says that "I'ts inevitable and unavoidable". I have no clue about the difference of these 2 words. Could anyone help explain please? Thank you for your help in advance.

inevitable = it's coming your way unavoidable = you can't get around it

Appart from being a synonym of unavoidable, inevitable also means "sure", "certain to happen".
