This is the whole letter, so that you'll have some context: (...)　このたびは、請求金額の件でご迷惑をおかけし、誠に申し訳ございませんでした。当方で原因を調査いたしましたところ、お取引額を計算する際に、誤った商品コードを入力したために、別の商品の単価で計算してしまったようです。　こうした人的ミスの発生を防止するために、全社的にバーコードによる管理の導入をすすめていた矢先のことでございました。商取り引きの基本とも言える単価の部分でミスがあり、多大なご迷惑をおかけしましたことを深くお詫び申し上げます。今月末にはすべての営業所に導入が完了する運びとなっており、今後は二度とこのようなミスの無いよう、細心の注意をはらう所存でございます。何卒ご容赦のほどお願い申し上げます。　同封の書類は、訂正分の請求書でございます。お手数ではございますが、お手元の請求書は破棄していただきますようお願い申し上げます。　略儀ではございますが、取り急ぎ書面にてお詫び申し上げます。どうか今後とも変わらぬご指導のほどよろしくお願い申し上げます。 I'd really appreciate any help on this :)!

It is a formulaic expression used at the end of formal letters (in which the writer apologizes for something), and means something like: "Please excuse our informality, but we hope you will accept our (quickly) written expression of apologies." This sounds like a mouthful in English because we usually do not write as much in our formal correspondences, and would probably opt for something like "Please accept our most sincere apologies in miscalculating the total sum for your order in our previous invoice." This letter basically explains why there was a mistake in the order total, and that the company has addressed the problem, and that a new corrected invoice is included in the same letter. The company asks the customer to discard the old invoice.
