Is there any difference between "adore" and "admire"?

Admire would be to look up to somebody. And, to adore would be to really like or love somebody / something.
- I love and adore my children
- I admire Lady Gaga because I think she is very talented and have a gifted voice.

Basically, "adore" has a strong sense of love. If you admire something/someone, I think you're standing back and just looking.
