ほうしん VS せいさく hello what is the difference between these two? they are both translated as "policy" ?

I think 'ほうしん' means a particular principle, and anyone can have their own 'ほうしん'. On the other hand, 'せいさく' usually means a principle or plan by organisations such as a government. I recommend looking up the meaning of '政(せい)' of 'せいさく' in a dictionary.

政策(せいさく)とは政府や政党などの施政上の方針(ほうしん)を指すこともあるそうです。 だからどちらもpolicyと翻訳されるのでしょう。 しかし方針は、例)会社の方針、今後の方針、などと使うこともできます。その場合はpolicyではないですね(^^)/
