Hi, It is usually used when something is very easy to do/achieve. e.g "that English test was a piece of cake" ;)

It's an idiom meaning 'very easy'. eg Is it hard to do this? No, it's a piece of cake!

It can also mean an actual piece of cake. Or a slice of pie.
