前面 and 前方 are almost the same when they mean in front/ the forward direction.
But, 前面 can mean the front of something while 前方 can't.

“前面”that means you can see things in a very short time,“前方”that means you could see things also in a short time,but later one just take more time than first one,but, sometimes,their meanings are same.

前方 the things is far away from you

前方:means something is kind of far from you
