What does 'Humble request' means? Is it formal way to request someone..

below."
"My humble request from our people is that no one should write anything provoking that would create tumult."
"A man posted his humble request on Reddit." "Humble request for honest opinion."
Somewhat formal and not very common - except in India, it seems. :)

In the United States, this would ONLY be used jokingly. It was used seriously in polite, formal language in the 1800s and maybe into the early 1900s.
