how to distinguish those words what's the differences with dear , darling ,sweetheart?

根據經驗其實我覺得那三者甚至是其他一些類似的字 在外國人用起來只是個人習慣用字或者是當下剛好想用哪一個字 意思上應該沒有太大的差別 總之就是甜甜的稱呼對方 :) 這個可以用於男女之間 但我的外國朋友(女生們) 也都會對我說dear或sweetheart (但是她們不會對著我叫darling哈哈哈,所以我覺得這一個的話可能稱呼異性比較多吧) 個人經驗+淺見~~~提供參考ㄎㄎㄎ

其實要看情況 sweetheart, darling 感覺上很親近,除非是我的女朋友或太太,否則我不會用在其他人身上 dear 比較中性,可用在一般人初次見面的抬頭上 例如 Dear Henry: I would like to say..... Anyway, My suggestion is not to use too aggressive words unless you really understand what you are expressing.

Dear could be used as an adjective as well as as noun. Darling and sweetheart should be nouns.
