هیچ نه معلوم شد آه که من چیستم
موج ز خود رفته ئی تیز خرامید و گفت

Actually, according to Dehkhoda Dictionary, "از خود رفتن" means "to faint" or "to pass out," therefore, "ز خود رفته" is quite the opposite of "lively"!
That makes it clear I guess. Just when it has almost died, the wave suddenly realizes it has to move in order to live.

the fallen beach said: although I've lived a lot
alas it hasn't become clear what I am
a lively wave loped quickly and said:
I exist if I go, if I don't go I do not exist
P.S: I'm not sure if I've translate the phrase "ز خود رفته" correctly but "lively" is the closest thing I could find
