What does "Let's get something to eat" mean?
(1) What does "Let's get something to eat" mean?
I assume this sentence means;
1. Let's go out and eat somewhere like in a restaurant.
2. Let's go out to buy some food in a shop.
(2) What kind of situations do you think of when you hear "Let's get something to eat"?
It could be both,but would usually be inviting someone to go with you to a restaurant.If the context was a husband and wife looking in the empty fridge then it might be the second,but it is less likely.
