'Amorous' comes from the Latin word meaning 'love'. However, the implication here is that person making the 'advances' is more interested in the other person's body than in their heart or mind...

I agree with Su.Ki. Amorous is similar to romantic but is singularly focused on physical affection. In this case, she showed interest in a physical relationship and he rejected her.
