What is the meaning of the word drill? Can I understand DRILL as practice? For exemple, I'm drilling my English (I'm practicing my English)?

1. You can only drill people, but not "my English". Example: His teacher drills him daily in the correct use of prepositions. 2. To drill means to instruct (someone) in something by means of repeated exercises or practice.

No, not really. A 'drill' is a specific type of classroom exercise involving repetition. It isn't a synonym of 'practice'.

The term, 'drill,'has many meanings. 1. training or exercise most commonly performed in military settings. Ex: The students had to perform 25 breast-stroke drills in the pool. 2.power tool used for making holes 3. to produce a whole in something by using a drill. Ex: she drilled a hole through the wall.
