Are chinese kanji different from the japanese ones? Yes, I know kanji are chinese signs , but last year I bought a kanji dictionary to learn japanese. Now I switched and I want to learn chinese. Do I have to buy another book or I can use that one? I am a little confused because I know kanji have both chinese and japanese pronunciation/ways to read ... I'm sorry if this sounds like a stupid question but I really am confused . Meh ~~

if u want to learn Chinese. I think u should buy another book . Chinese and Japanse are all use Kanji .1. some of them look the same, but they have different meaning. for example 大丈夫(だいじょうぶ) the meaning of Japanese : no problem. the meaning of Chinese: real man . 爱人(あいじん) the meaning of Japanese : mistress. the meaning of Chinese :lover . 2. some of them have the same meaning . 爱情 : love, both in chinese and Japanese. 秋: autumn.
