사로잡히다 be captured alive (as a prisoner) ex) 그 병사는 2차대전 도중 포로로 사로잡혔다. The soldiers was captured as a prisoner of war during World War II. be fascinated[captivated] (by thought, feeling, emotion, someone or art) ex) 나는 감미로운 프레드릭 쇼팽의 선율에 사로잡혔다. I was fascinated by Frédéric Chopin's beautiful melody. 감정에 사로잡혀 판달을 그르쳐서는 안된다. Don't let the sentiment interfere with your judgment be seized (with panic) ex) 신참 경찰은 뒷골목에서 수배중인 탈주자를 마주쳤을 때 공포에 사로잡혔다. The rookie cop was seized with panic, when he happened to meet the wanted fugitive at a skid row. 사로 = alive 잡다. = take, capture 히 = passive form
