"Homegirl" and " girlfriend"
Does " homegirl " have the meaning of girlfriend? I heard a man talked about his girlfriend : she's my homegirl and my true love.
Thx

As far as I understand, a 'homegirl' is more like a close friend, not intimate as with a girlfriend. I think the phrase 'she's my homegirl and my true love' would equate to 'she's my best friend and my true love'. If it was just 'she's my homegirl', that would mean they are more like close friends.
